Mach 8 w heat pump replacement

Question:

I am considering replacing my 15,000btu Mach8 with heat pump with this unit. How do they compare performance wise? I have a ducted setup. What is required to change from Coleman to Atwood?

I will be honest, I have a Coleman unit on my camper which is also ducted and I like it. I actually just added a SoftStartRV Soft Start for RV AC Units Item # SSR54FR which makes a huge difference when you first turn the unit on. It eliminates the camper shake and load noise you get from the compressor starting. You can also run two AC units off a 30 amp hookup if this is installed on one of them. My Ac unit starts right up now and doesn't sound like it bogs down as it is starting.

As far as the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump Item # AT15033-22. I think they are very comparable to the Colemans. We really don't hear too many complaints of things needing to be replaced or braking on them. This specific unit comes with the wall thermostat and controller.

It does not require any additional parts to add the Atwood unit in place of the Coleman.

They are also availible in white with Item # AT15028-22
