Replacement Brake Assemblies For 2015 Keystone Montana High Country 305RL

Question:

I would like to know what etrailer self-adjusting electric brake assemblies fit my EZ lube axles on the 2015 Montana High Country 305 RL. It has 6 lug 16-inch wheels. I am having issues with having to adjust the brakes prior to every trip, along with having to keep the gain on the controller almost to the maximum setting. It is a used trailer we just purchased. If I have to pull it apart I want to install new and be done with it. I would also need the heat shrink lugs and would you recommend new seals for the hub?

The etrailer Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA are the correct replacements for your 2015 Keystone Montana High Country 305RL. These are self adjusting to ensure that you will not have to adjust them after proper installation.

The Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-5 are a set of 5 that will give you a water tight connection for the brake assemblies.

I would recommend having new Grease Seals # GS-2250DL to replace the ones you currently have as the axle is over 7 years old and there is no telling how long the grease seals will last. Would hate to see the seals go bad shortly after installing the new brake pads and cause grease to get on the new pads.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # K08-201-98 will replace your current hubs. These may be a good idea as they will include new bearings and grease seals. Since the Montana is new to you there is no telling if the brake drums may be damaged as well and this will give you the peace of mind that you have all new components for the brakes and bearings.
