Does 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Need To Have Computer Flashed To Recognize Tekonsha Prodigy P3 90195?

I bought the above brake controller for my2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee it is already wired has 4x4 and tow package, I was told service installer may need to configure the computer to recognize the brake controller. Do you know if this is true? or can it just plug in, mount and go?

To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 in your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the factory 7-way connector all you will need is the Tekonsha Plug-In Adapter # TK93VR which will plug into the factory trailer brake controller port underneath the dash of your Jeep.

You will not need to have the computer flashed by the dealer to have the controller work properly.
