Application of MORryde StepAbove RV Steps Used in Home Attic

Question:

I have an attic room that you must access through a door and a 33 inch high step. These steps look like they would work and fold up behind the door that accesses this room. 2 questions: Is the assembly that keeps the folded stairs in place able to be modified for a larger opening? The doorway is 36 inches wide. If the threshold is flat wood— is that ok? It looks like the threshold piece is made to fit over an installed threshold?

The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps for 27-3/4" to 30-1/4" Wide Doorways, # MR68RR are designed for RV application but that does not mean that they cannot be used elsewhere, such as in a house attic. They are designed to fit over an existing threshold correct, because they are intended for use in an RV. however, if needed, for your application I think they can be filled with a shim if you choose to.
