How To Replace Lock Cores On Older Yakima Q Tower
Question:
Hello, I inherited an older Q tower set with the 58” bars from my uncle. He does not have the keys anymore and I would like to know which locks and keys I would need in order to replace them. I couldn’t find a number anywhere so not sure which ones to order, any help would be great! I’m using this on a 2007 Toyota Corolla if that helps at all.

If you don't see any numbers on the front plate of the lock core then you will need to drill out the lock core to remove it. Then you can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4) # Y07204 which comes with 4 new lock cores with 2 matching keys.
If you don't want to or cannot remove the lock core from the lock housing then you can simply buy 4 of the Replacement Lock Housing and Fastener for Yakima Q-Tower - Qty. 1 # Y70026 along with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4) # Y07204. I attached a demonstration video for you to check out.
