Trailer Hitch Receiver, Wiring and Ball Mount for Trailer Towing With a 2016 Ford Flex

I am renting a motorcycle trailer from U Haul for one motorcycle. I am not sure which product I should be looking at and what other accessories I need. The trailer is for a 2inch ball and 4 pin connector. Please help.

I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75679 for your 2016 Ford Flex. This is a class III 2" receiver that is capable of 400lbs of tongue weight and towing 4,000lbs. Be sure to consult a Ford dealer for your maximum towing ratings on your Flex, and do not exceed those ratings.

The etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 will give you 2 separate ball mounts so that you can use the one that will best level the u-haul motorcycle trailer. It also includes a 2" ball and 1-7/8" ball for when you tow other trailers besides the u-haul.

The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11140275 is a plug and play wiring harness that will plug into your Flex's taillights and give you a 4-way flat connector for the trailer. It does require a ground strap be installed with the included self drilling screw.
