Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2003 Acura MDX
Question:
Im interested in upgrading the transmission cooler on my 2003 Acura MDX base mode, but I noticed that the pictures for what fits my vehicle doesnt look like whats currently on the vehicle. Im afraid Ill have to fabricate something. Do I need any additional parts to install this on my vehicle?

Auxiliary transmission coolers will not usually look like factory transmission coolers. The Derale Transmission Cooler # D13501 that you referenced will work for you and I would recommend you install it downstream from your factory controller, meaning that the fluid will go from your factory cooler to the # D13501 and then back to the transmission.
This kit comes with everything you will need to complete the installation. Check out the FAQ articles and installation video for this product that I attached also.
