It sounds like you want a trailer hitch with a ball mount and hitch ball that can be removed. There are trailer hitches available for your 2011 Cadillac CTS Sedan that will allow you to use a 2 inch ball on a removable ball mount. The trailer hitch that I would recommend for you is the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch, # 24767. You would only need to add the ball mount and hitch ball. For a 2 inch hitch ball, use part # 19258. If you want a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball, use part # 19256.

Keep in mind, this trailer hitch has a 2,000 lb towing capacity and a 200 lb tongue weight capacity. You should check your owners manual and verify the towing capacity of your vehicle before you tow. If the towing capacity of your CTS is lower than 2,000 lbs, then you will be limited to the capacity of your vehicle.
