Troubleshooting Rear Dragging On A 2017 Coachmen Chaparral 5th Wheel When Reversing Uphill
Question:
I have a 37foot Fifth Wheel which I cant back into my driveway because the rear bumper catches. Will these work or do you have another recommendation due to the size of our RV. Also, wheres the best place to mount these based on my current situation. Thanks!

You can mount the Ultra-Fab Skid Wheels for Low-Profile RVs up to 30' Long - 4" Diameter - Qty 2 Item # UF48-979011 to the rear end of the frame of your 2017 Coachmen Chaparral Fifth Wheel or to the hitch if you have one. I would not mount these to the bumper as most bumpers are not reinforced and able to handle any weight strain.
If you have underslung axles you could flip a double-eyed leaf spring suspension over them to raise the rear of your trailer a bit to also help eliminate the dragging. If you have 2-3/8" diameter axles you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit Item # K71-384-00 or if you have 3" diameter axles you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit Item # K71-385-00.
