Troubleshooting Hopkins InSIGHT Trailer Brake Controller Applying Brakes When Accelerating
Question:
Everything works as it should except for when you accelerate it applies the brake to 15. Ive tried reversing the enertia switch but nothing. The controller is moutned to the center consoleAny thoughts ?

Since you have the Hopkins InSIGHT Trailer Brake Controller mounted in the correct direction, and have it mounted to the center console as the directions mention I would double check that you have the red wire connected to the correct wire on your vehicle.
The red wire should be connected to the cold side wire on the stop light switch which only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. If the red wire is getting constant power that would cause the brakes to apply when accelerating.
Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will tell you if you are getting constant power or not.
