Can I Mount a Cargo Box Outside the Foot on a Thule Evo System?

Can you mount a cargo box outside the foot on a Thule Evo system. I have about 4.5 inches of space from the foot to the end of my bar and want to maximize bar space. I have a Thule cargo box with the clamps that close like a jaw over the bar when you twist a knob in the inside of the box. Thanks

I have an answer for you. Manufacturers say that all cargo/accessories mounted on crossbars should be distributed as evenly as possible in order to maintain proper weight distribution. It is not recommended for the Thule Evo system unless there is an accessory that evens out the distribution on the other end of the bar.

You actually will want to open the end of the crossbar like in the picture I attached and then slide the strip down the end of the crossbar. You would not want to try and press it in. Hope your thumb feels better!
