Options for Adding a 3rd Brake Light to a Truck Bed Shell

Question:

what is the viewing angle of these lights. I am considering adding one to the back of my pickup topper shell as a 3rd brake light. My concern is that the slope of the shell will angle the light up slightly light will be mounted horizontal. I need this to be visible for cars that sit lower. Trying to asses whether or not this would work.

The Optronics GloLight Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL179RB is generally mounted completely level, but a slight upward cant will not affect it very much. That being said, if you have a little more space to mount a longer light, I may have a better option.

The Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL64RB will be 20 1/2 inches long, as opposed to the 17 inch long # STL179RB. The # STL64RB also has the optional add on mounting bezel # A64BB. This can be sanded down at an angle to get the light pointed straight back, or even slightly downwards.

Another highly suggested add on is the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702. This will get you all the needed power and separate the turn signals so you only get the brakes to light it up.
