Recommended Shock Absorbers For Trailer With Single 3" Diameter Axle

Question:

I am looking at the Roadmaster RM-2460-50 and it has confusing info. It says for triple axel but then it has single axle listed. I want to install a shock hit on a single axle camper trailer with a 3inch axle

I have another option for you but the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Add-On Kit for Triple Axle Trailers - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles # RM-2460-50 is an add-on for a tandem axle kit to add shocks to a triple axle trailer and will not work on a single axle trailer.

Since there is not a Roadmaster Comfort Ride option for a single axle trailer I recommend the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb (3") Axle # LC281281 which will fit your 3" axle perfectly.

You will need to make sure there is at least 3" clearance between the inside edge of the tire and the I-Beam frame for this kit to fit, and your axle will need to be underneath your leaf springs.

If your axle is not underneath your leaf springs you will need to use an over-under kit # K71-385-00 to move it.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
