Parts Needed To Install Tekonsha Primus IQ TK90160 In 2011 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
I have a Tekonsha 90160 Primus brake controller. I have attached a picture of the connector that is already in the vehicle installed by the previous owner. I am not sure what brand brake controller he had in it before but I needed to figure out what pigtail I need to go from the brake controller to plug into the truck. Can you send me item number you all have so that I can order the correct pigtail. Thank you!

I have another option for you, but the connector shown in the picture you provided is actually the OBD-2 port used to link testing equipment to the computer of your truck.
On your 2011 Chevrolet Silverado there is not a factory trailer brake controller port, but instead has the required wires run underneath the dash and taped up.
To install the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 you will need to find the wires tapped up above your brake pedal and make the following connections to the harness included with the controller:
Red wire with black stripe gets connected to black wire of controller harness
Blue wire with white stripe gets connected to red wire of controller harness
White wire gets connected to white wire of controller harness
Blue wire gets connected to blue wire of controller harness.
I included a video of the # TK90160 being installed on a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado for you to take a look at.
