Can the Receiver on Curt Multi-Ball Adjustabal Ball Mount D900 Be Reversed for Storage
Question:
Can you store the hitch underneath the shank when not in use? It looks like you could put it on the lowest setting in reverse and point the 2 5/16 ball down to store it out of the way. My shins would appreciate it.

I went out to the warehouse and tried to reverse the receiver on the # D900 Curt adjustable ball mount, and it cannot be turned around. The brace between the shank and the adjustment platform prevents the receiver from sliding on far enough for the pin holes to line up.
You would still have the option of removing just the receiver section to save your shins. We have a ballmount bag, part # ETBMB, that you could use to store the pins and receiver when not in use. This would allow you to keep all the parts together and also protect your vehicle from the dirt and grease.
I am including links to video reviews on both the bag and the ball mount if you want a closer look at them.
