Moving e98840 Hitch from 2016 to 2021 Honda Pilot

Question:

I traded our 2016 Honda Pilot for a 2021 Honda Pilot and kept the receiver hitch from our 2016 Honda Pilot so that I could remount the hitch on our 2021 Honda Pilot. Looks like the same part #e98840 for both vehicles. Body style is identical. Can I order a new set of 6 mounting bolts for the new 2021 Honda Pilot ? I could also add a bike rack to the order if that would save on shipping costs.

The etrailer brand # e98840 is indeed a fit for both the 2019 and the 2021 Honda Pilot, so you can certainly swap the hitch from your old to your new Pilot. For replacement hardware, you'll need our replacement hardware kit, part # RHK. Use the provided link, and on the product page you're taken to type 'e98840' into the provided field then choose 'etrailer' from the drop down menu for the manufacturer.

The Swagman XC2, part # S64650 that you'd looked at would make a good choice for 2 bikes weighing up to 35 lbs and wheelbases up to 52 inches. If you have a women's bike with a step-through frame. you'll want to use a frame adapter bar like # SA3040. The adapter bar spans the distance between the seat post and the handlebar stem, providing a good attachment point for the hooks that hold the bikes on the rack.
