Your best option for carrying an 83lb kayak on your Adarac ladder rack is to use etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount # e98878. This will fit around the square bars on your ladder rack and provide a nice J-style cradle for your kayak. The weight capacity is 150lbs for this carrier and the weight capacity for your ladder rack is 500lbs, so you will have no issue with this setup. Straps and tie-downs are included with this kit; I attached a demonstration video for you.
