Comparing Curt Trailer Hitch C13382 and etrailer Trailer Hitch e98912 For 2021 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

Can you tell me if the hardware is the same as the Curt C13382 hardware? Especially the rectangular washer that goes inside the frame rail......that looks to be very important. Any other differences other than matte finish and a bit cheaper? Not sure what the advantage is going with Curt other than their name and reputation.

The hardware used to mount the etrailer # e98912 and Curt # C13382 is the same. Since the mounting locations on your 2021 Subaru Crosstrek dictate the type of washer used to secure the carriage bolts, and the length of the bolts, it is pretty common for hitches to use the same or very similar hardware.

When comparing the two hitches both have the same ratings of 525lbs tongue weight and 3500lb trailer weight rating so you can not go wrong with either option.

I prefer the etrailer # e98912 due to its matte black powder coated finish that blends in to the trim on the rear bumper of your vehicle.
