Clearance Needed to Install Solera Slide Out Awning LCV000184673

Question:

I purchased this awning for my slide out two years ago and finally got time to install it. Item number LCV000184673 My problem is with the standard installation it would interfere with my main awning. I only have 2” clearance from the main awning and the slide out. My question is, is it possible to shorten the slide out awning? And if so please send directions to do so.

Thank you for the photo, and I can tell you that the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 11'1" Wide # LCV000184673 does require at least 7 inches of clearance in order to install. Unfortunately, there is just no way to shorten the awning, so the best we can offer is a different size that you can use.

Since the awning brackets stick out approximately 2-1/2 inches past the fabric you will want to consider that as well when deciding the proper length.

- 127 Inch Wide Fabric: Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 10'7" Wide # LCV000168326

- 121 Inch Wide Fabric: Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 10'1" Wide # LCV000182037

I realize this is not the exact news you were looking for, but it really is the only option to add an awning to your slide-out. And since yours is still new and not used, you should be able to sell it to offset some of the cost.
