I just bought a 2021 2500 hd with factory puck system and its not the same dimension as my 2019 puck system so instead of buying a complete companion can I just buy a new base and put my old head on it?

You sure can get just the base and connect the head to it. If you have the 20,000lbs you'll need the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC - 20,000lbs Item # BWRVB3710 or if you have the 25,000lbs you'll need the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC - 25,000lbs Item # BWRVB3715.

You can use the B and W Companion base part #BWRVB3710 to transfer the head of your current Companion hitch to fit he OEM pucks of your 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 when you get it.
