The part you were looking at, # 3015-S, will not work with your 2005 Chevy Trailblazer EXT.
If you have the factory 7-way towing wiring, the wires will be taped up under the dash to some other wiring with either a piece of white or blue tape. There will not be a connector on these wires, and they will need to be spliced to the brake controller wires. A circuit tester, part # PTW2993, will be needed to be sure the proper connections have been made and the vehicle wiring is functional.
If your vehicle does not have the factory 7-way you will need to wire the brake controller to your vehicle from scratch using kit # ETBC7.
I am assuming that since your vehicle came factory with a hitch, you already have a 4-way connection for a trailer. If for some reason there is not a 4-way connector by your hitch or spare, here is the kit you would need for that, # 119250KIT.
I have added a link that may be helpful to you. At the top of the page it shows how to install a brake controller if the vehicle has a factory 7-Way plug installed.
The rest of the page gives instructions on how to wire a brake controller into a vehicle that does not have a factory 7 way. There are many links at the bottom of the page with videos of how to do various installs, even installs from scratch.
