Trailer Hitch Recommended for 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
Need help deciding which hitch works best with this model.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I'd recommend going with a Class III hitch, because their 2 inch receiver size is the most common and would provide the greatest selection of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks or cargo carrying trays.
When the capacity, the hitch appearance once it's installed and cost are compared, I'd personally choose the Curt Class III, part # C13397. The hitch is a concealed crossbar design, which means that the only portion of the hitch that will be visible from the rear is the receiver opening and the safety chain loops. Curt does a nice job on their powder coat finish, so they look great as well.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118741, a ball mount like
# 2753 and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
I've linked to install videos for the hitch and the trailer wiring harness I recommended.
