Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2012 Toyota Camry with Kuat Bike Rack
Question:
I just bought a KUAT bike rack for my 2012 Toyota Camry XLE and it looks like it needs a 2inch hitch. The two hitches recommended for my car seem to be 1 1/4. Can someone call me? Or Ive taken a picture to send to someone. Thank you

For your 2012 Toyota Camry XLE I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36540. I like the construction of this receiver cross tube better as it travels through the frame mounts rather than flush welded like the Curt # C12107.
With your Kuat bike rack having a 2" receiver mount you can either return it for a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH12G that has a 1-1/4" receiver mount. Or you can use a Buyers Products Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # HTAD. With this adapter it will reduce the hitch capacity by 50%. So with the Draw-Tite hitch you would be able to carry 150lbs should be a reasonable capacity unless you are looking to haul heavy bikes.
