Recommended Wireless Brake Controller for Lexus GX 460
Question:
I’m looking to pull a 23 foot airstream with my Lexus GX 460. I have a seven pen adapter and the factory hitch with a 2 in.² receiver. My car does not come with a electronic brake controller. Do you recommend the Bluetooth electronica version from Curt? If not, do u have any alternative

Actually, the Curt # C51180 Echo wireless brake controller would be perfect for your situation. If you're using an adapter like # 37185, all you'd need to do is run a length of 10 gauge wire, # 10-1-1 from the pin in the 1:00 position (which is the black wire on our adapter) to the positive battery terminal. You'll want to run this circuit through a # 9510 40A breaker located near the battery. You'll also need two # 44-5310A ring terminals to make the connection at the breaker and one # 44-5356A ring terminal to make the connection at the battery terminal.
The Echo will use your smart phone to run the brake controller, so you won't need to drill holes in your dash to hang a brake controller you'll ultimately bang your knee on.
I'll link to videos that explain how the Echo works and how the connections at the adapter and battery are done.
