Installing LaSalle East Seventeen 12 Volt Ceiling Fan
Question:
I would like to install a LaSalle 12 volt brushless ceiling fan in my house boat. There is currently a 12 volt LaSalle fan there now., However I only have TWO wires at the box and fan Black and white. The new Lasalee brushless fan has multiple wires. How do you attach if I am unable to run extra wire to the box ?

As shown in the product page picture of the fan # 344410TSDC36BNOKCY, the back of the wall switch has 4 wires. The red and black wires run to your 12 volt source. The blue and white wires run to the fan. The fan has 3 wires. The white and blue wires connect to the white and blue wires from the wall switch, and the one green/yellow wire is a chassis ground.
If you need to run wires behind a wall you will need to use the "fishing" technique. However, the ground wire from the fan can go to any chassis ground location that is convenient.
