Weight of Curt C13416 Class III Versus etrailer Hitch for 2021 Toyota Rav4
Question:
Hello, I have a 2021 Toyota Rav4 XLE hybrid. I am comparing two trailer hitches, the etrailer hitch, and the Curt # C13416 class 3 hitch. I would prefer the stronger 2 inch Curt hitch but cannot find the actual weight of these two hitches to compare. If there is a significant weight difference probably would go with the lighter one. Can you provide me with the actual weight of these two hitches?? Thanks Very Much

The Curt Class III # C13416 weighs just under 35 lbs, and the etrailer # e23ZR weights about 1 lbs less, at just under 30 lbs. I'd recommend going with the Curt Class III, because with the more popular 2 inch receiver opening, you'll have a much better selection of hitch mounted accessories available to you.
The Curt hitch is also US manufactured.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll need a few other items to complete your setup. For a trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend # C56434.
If you go with the Class II hitch, use the # 36071 ball mount and the # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball or
# 19258 for a 2 inch.
I've linked to installation videos for the hitches and wiring harness mentioned above.
