Strength & Security of Use While Driving
Question:
Does this allow locking in place strongly and securely where I can ratchet strap down and carry, say, a 150lb load on the rack while driving? Similar to a luggage hitch rack? I have a magliner cart Id like to strap onto it. Any tips and suggestions would be great. Thanks

I reached out to GSM who manufactures Viking Solutions products about your issue. First, you would not want to drive around with the lift in its lowest position as it would drag on the street. GSM said that can operate your vehicle with the lift partially up, but they do not recommend it. When asked about driving with a load on the lift, but fully up and swiveled over the tailgate they said there would be no problem with that. Of course you will want to secure your load to the lift platform, and secure the lift platform to the truck to prevent if from swiveling about while driving.
