Do All of the Fuses and Relays Have to be Installed for Harness 118265 on a 2013 Honda Pilot
Question:
I purchased the Tow Ready wiring 118265 for my 2013 Honda Pilot. Since I do not have trailer brakes on my camper, do I need to install the black box and extra fuses, or do I need to just plug the 7-way plug into the wiring harness behind the back bumper?

You will need to plug in the converter box and all of the fuses/relays as indicated in the instructions. While you may be able to leave out the 12 volt fuse or relay you will need to plug in the other items to make it fully functional so you may as well connect them all at that time.
Having the 12 volt circuit active is not going to harm the vehicle, drain the battery, or do anything to a trailer that does not require a 12 volt circuit so it is my opinion to have it active and not need it rather than need it and not have it ready to go.
The converter box is key and has to be connected. It takes the tail light signals from the vehicle and converts them to the proper format used by the trailer.
