Tire Valve Stem Requirements for TireMinder Systems

Are standard value stems acceptable or do they have to be steel.

The TireMinder # TM89FR sensors can be used on standard rubber, steel, chrome, or nickle valve stems. I especially like the color LCD monitor and audible alerts.
