Plunger and Rubber Socket Door Holder Vs. T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder

Question:

Hi, I bought two of these for my tear trailer doors, but these are way too strong, and Im worried it will damage the door trying to pull the plunger loose. Would you be able to recommend a weaker alternative for my 30x36inch trailer doors? Perhaps Low-Profile Bumper Door Holder for RV or Enclosed Trailer - 1inch Stem Item # 37210665inch wouldnt be as strong? Thank you.

I understand your concern with pulling on the doors to release from the holder and possibly damaging the smaller lightweight doors of a teardrop style camper. Perhaps using a hook and keeper type would be a better option, please see link. These come in varying lengths, finishes and type of material. I like the Flat T-Style Hook and Keeper in Stainless Steel, # 37210615. There is also a durable plastic construction available in Polar White, # 37210414 or in black, # 37210324.
