Replacement Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers for 7K Axle on 5th Wheel

Question:

Im looking to replace some suspension parts on out 2011 Big Horn 5th wheel camper. It currently has the Dexter EZ-Flex suspension on it, but both of the rubber cushion absorbers are torn and wore out. 1. Im assuming Ill need to replace the entire EZ-Flex unit because I didnt see where the rubbers only could be replaced? 2. Is the only difference between the EZ-Flex #K71-653-00 and the K71-655-00 is that one of them is a complete kit while the other is only the equalizers? 3. Id like to replace the four leaf springs on this camper as well for preventative maintenance purposes only, but Im unable to find the correct leaf springs for my trailer. They are a 6 leaf spring, measure 26 center to center, 1.75 wide, and need to fit on 7,000 lb. axels. Do you carry springs that will meet these needs and dimensions? Thanks

You would indeed need to replace the E-Z Flex equalizer, as Dexter Axle doesn't offer replacement rubber cushions. You are correct regarding the difference between the # K71-655-00 and the # K71-653-00, The
# K71-655-00 includes the E-Z flex equalizers and the necessary hardware for mounting the equalizer to the center hanger. The # K71-653-00 is the entire kit that includes the equalizers, the shackle links and all the necessary mounting hardware.

As far as replacement leaf springs go, we don't carry a 7K spring in the length you specified, the only double-eye spring we offer for 7K axles is part # e64SR which measures 24-7/8 inches long. Can you tell me how you measured the springs? Because the springs flatten out over time, the best way to measure them is by putting the trailer up on jack stands to the axles hang free so you can get an accurate measurement.
