Ground Options for Installing Primus IQ Brake Controller TK90160 a 2012 Toyota Tundra

should i run an extra ground wire for my application or is the one supplied in my tundra wiring kit enough

Are you using a plug-in harness # 3040-P to install the Primus IQ brake controller # TK90160. If so, you would only need to attach the ground wire on the harness, which is the white wire that is separated from the rest.

If you are hardwiring using the pigtail that comes with the brake controller, then you would ground the white wire on the pigtail to the negative battery terminal on your 2012 Toyota Tundra. You would only need the one ground in either case.

I am including installation instructions for the brake controller and plug-in harness if needed, as well as some information on hardwiring if that is the case.
