5-Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying Mountain Bikes
Question:
Hello! Im looking for a bike rack for 5 family bikes. Youngest child is 10 so the bikes arent little kid bikes - they are all Treks. What is your suggestion for the best option? Dont want something thats hard to use or risks ping the bikes on the road, etc. Any expert advice appreciated! Im thinking there is no GREAT option for 5 bikes.

We have quite a few solid 5-bike rack options but like you are suspecting they do get a little more interesting to load. For a traditional hanging style bike rack the Thule Apex part # TH9026XT would be a really solid rack that can tilt, is locking and has anti-sway cradles to prevent contact. Since sometimes Treks can have unique frame styles a bike frame adapter bar like part # UB01 would be a great choice for bikes without a horizontal top tube.
Now for a different type of bike rack that was designed for carrying several bikes we also have the Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack for Mountain Bikes # Y02485 which holds the bike vertically instead.
