Best Lightweight, Easy to Install 2-Bike Rack For 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Question:
Im looking for a lightweight, easy to install 2 bike, 2 hitch rack. Is there any rack that would mount the bike lower on my 2016 Toyota Highlanderits hard for me to lift a bike? I also want to maximize visibility out the rear window. We only drive on major, paved roads.

There is one 2-bike rack for a 2" hitch that meets all your needs - it is lightweight, simple to install, and doesn't have a pronounced rise so it will be lower than other racks for easier bike loading and optimal visibility out of your rear window. Let's start with weight, and due to it's aluminum construction, the Sherpa 2.0 weighs just 32 lbs, making it one of the lightest racks you can get, and much easier to handle than most racks, which weigh in the 50 lb range. The install is as easy as it gets as well, as it installs in your Highlander's hitch with only the swift and simple turn of a knob at the base of the rack. That means no getting down on the ground and fiddling with an anti-rattle bolt that will keep you down on the ground just to get the rack secure to your hitch.
The rack has big wheel cradles so you can just put your bikes right on and they'll stay put, and since the rack doesn't have a shank that rises up, the view out of your Highlander's rear window will be maximized. The Sherpa 2.0 even tilts down (with the bikes loaded if need be) with the use of just a handy foot lever. It can also fold up when the bikes are not being carried if you want to keep the rack on your Highlander. Additionally, the Sherpa 2.0 comes with a hitch lock to secure the rack to your hitch, and a cable lock to secure your bikes to the rack, helping protect your investments.
