Do the Hitches for the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Interfere with the Hands Free Liftgate
Question:
Will any trailer hitch allow me to keep using the kick sensor on my 2020 Rav 4 limited hybrid?

There are no notes from our manufacturers about interference with the kick sensor (Hands Free Liftgate) on a 2020 Toyota RAV4. I recommend the Curt Class III, part # C13416. It gives a 2" receiver with a maximum tongue weight of 600 pounds and a maximum towing weight of 4000 pounds. I've linked to a video installation of this hitch for your reference.
As for interfering with the Hands Free Liftgate, Curt has not noted this as a problem. However, since Curt designed this hitch specifically for the RAV4, it stands to reason that interference of any kind would have been noted. In other words, I cannot say for sure, but it more than likely will not interfere. Usually with these hitches, you just have to kick on either side of the receiver to activate that function.
One of our neighbors, Roger, wrote that he installed this hitch on his 2020 RAV4 and that his sensors were still functional, so this has been shown to work.
