How To Upgrade Weight Capacity on Harbor Freight Trailer

Question:

I am looking to build myself a small camper. I have a Harbor Freight trailer and would like to upgrade the wheels, axle, bearings, hubs and leaf springs to allow for a little more weight then the 1200 lbs. What suggestions can you make?

I do have an option for possibly upgrading the weight capacity of a Harbor Freight trailer but we wouldn't have any traditional setups for this application. Instead, what we can offer is a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System like part # ASR1200S02 which replaces the existing axle and suspension. It's rated at 1,200 lbs but that won't be your new limit. The axle rating only needs to be rated for around 85-90% of the trailer's loaded weight.

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System will allow you to run brakes if needed or you can attach an idler hub with 4 or 5 bolt pattern. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed and I can provide supporting parts for this setup.
