Electric-over-Hydraulic System Recommendation for a 15K Trailer with Disc Brakes

I installed Kodiak disc brake on my toy hauler travel trailer weight loaded around 15 K #. Which electric over hydraulic will work best for this application ? Fastest response time and compatibility with 2012 Ford F250 SD with integrated brake controller information will help lot. THX

For your 15,000 lb toy hauler, I recommend the HydraStar Actuator, # HBA16, that you referenced. The response time for this actuator from activation to full pressure is 1.2 seconds and it is compatible with the integrated brake controller in your 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty. This actuator is also made here in the United States.

This actuator is designed to be used with the industry standard 12 volt, 5 amp-hour breakaway battery. If you do not have a breakaway system, then I recommend picking up the Tekonsha Breakaway Kit, # 50-85-313. The battery that is included with this system has a push to test feature that will show the charge level of the battery and it has a built in charger.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
