Will the MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust System Install on a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible

I spoke with my contact at Magnaflow and he told me that the Cat-Back Exhaust System, # MF15815, will fit the convertible model of the 1966 Ford Mustang with the 4.7L V8, but a slight modification will be necessary for the installation.

The convertible models have an extra support bracket in the rear that may contact the exhaust pipes or muffler. When installing this system on a convertible model, you will need to install a spacer between the support bracket and the exhaust system to prevent contact.

Unfortunately Magnaflow does not make a spacer for this application, but he recommended using any type of rubber spacer that can typically be found at a local hardware store.
