Today on our 2012 Honda Fit we'll be test fitting the Rhino Rack 2500 Series roof rack with the arrow crossbars measuring fifty inches long in silver, part number DA126. We'll also be using the custom DK clamps and pads for the Rhino Rack 2500 series roof rack systems, part number DK154. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening our front doors. We'll grab our front bar and place it onto the front part of our roof. To ensure that we have this bar in the correct location, we need to measure 270 millimeters, or 27 centimeters, from the center of our door jamb to the center of our foot plate. We'll do this measurement on both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. We can then use an allen key to tighten the allen bolt, which will secure the clamps around the roof line of our vehicle. We'll make our way from passenger side to driver side, tightening a little at a time so we don't lose our position.
With that secure, we can open our rear doors and grab our rear bar and place it onto our roof. To ensure that we have this bar in the correct location, we need to measure 700 millimeters, or 70 centimeters, from the center of our front plate to the center of our rear plate. We'll do this measurement on both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other and that our bars are parallel. Once we have it set, we can use an allen key to repeat the same tightening process that we used at the front. With everything tight and secure, we can go ahead an install our black plastic covers over our foot packs. That completes today's test fit of the Rhino Rack 2500 Series roof rack system using part numbers DA126 and Dk154 on our 2012 Honda Fit. .

This custom fit kit lets you mount 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 legs to your vehicle with a naked roof. Clamps mount to legs with bolts. Includes 4 clamps and 4 pads.Takes a little while to assemble the rack bars.
The stickers are great I can mark the positions after measuring the distance between the bars.
One of the screws is underneath the bar; it is hard to reach to tighten the bars.
Finally, I got the roof rack installed and it looks good.
The product is high quality and perfect for the 2013 Honda Fit Sport. The assembly is easy and fun. Read or watch the instructions first to avoid wasting time. The initial fitting on the roof is a bit finicky, but you only have to do it once. Use the included arrow decals and R & R is a breeze.
etrailer shipping was fast and their price was unbeatable. The follow-up emails were appreciated. Thanks for getting me out on my kayak again!
Fairly straightforward to install. I had never installed a roof rack before and would characterize myself as average in the handiness department. It took me about a little over an hour. Feels super solid. Be sure to consult the correct DK Spec Sheet for measurements.
Rhino rack systems are really well-made & once you understand the instructions, it all goes together very smoothly. I’m knocking one star because both the instructions for ordering the fitting sets to fit vehicles AND the instructions for fit kits are needlessly confusing. I ordered a set for an ‘09 Corolla. I’m a handy guy; I’ve designed & built all manner of stuff. Rhino folks: design an online menu with clear menu choices to determine fit measurements for *one make/model*; those paper charts are baffling! Figuring out how they intersected with instructions took more time to understand than the actual assembly! Hire a UX specialist & have them redesign the whole fitting/instructions landscape. Got it in the end, but man, these make cabinet sets from Ikea look easy-peasy… and it doesn’t have to be that way! Everyone: installation is actually easier than the instructions.
Just wanted to provide some feedback on the installation of the Rhino rack
rack and the Curt basket for my 2013 honda fit.
1) the roof rack went together easily- clear instructions, all the correct
parts etc. All Good
2) the basket is another story. Poor instructions at best! Poor hardware!
3) Roof rack spacing instructions tell you to place the bars 16.92" apart (
700mm-270mm=430mm )
For the basket clamps to line up with the rack bars, the rear bar needs to
move approximately 2" in order for the clamps to seat correctly on the rack
bars.
Basket instructions indicate the centers of the clamps must be 15, 22, or 29
inches apart for correct alignment.
I realize that the basket is a universal design, but the hardware just
sucks!
It would be nice if your company offered a mounting kit for this that worked
better.
Great service fast delivery all in all.
The Rhino Rack fits my 2009 Honda Fit perfectly and I am impressed with the construction and apparent durability. I am able to attach my L-shaped kayak brackets and travel safely to my destination. I recommend this product to others looking for a reliable rack but scared off by the high prices at Thule and Yakima. The only problem I had was with the crossbar endcaps. A key is required to lock them safely in place. The plastic key was delivered in the runner space in the crossbar and no mention was made of this in the instructions. Subsequently I did not identify them as the required keys and had to contact the manufacturer for clarification. The pictures of the crossbars on the product packaging and in the installation instructions were different than the endcaps I received. Once this was resolved all proceeded smoothly. I recommend this rack to all.
Bought it for a 2009 honda fit sport. Used it with the cargo bag. The road trip was not long, so it was ok. Stored it away for now, but will definitely reinstall when they need arises.
I ordered this package along with the Rhino Roof Rack with Aero Crossbars; the specs provided by eTrailer made assembly completely trouble-free. Mounting the rack on my particular vehicle (Honda FIT) for the first time took precision; but future mounting will be completely effortless with the markings.
What's more, delivery of my purchase was FAST and FREE. I placed my order on a Wednesday; it was shipped on Thursday and I had my order by Monday (particularly important in my case - since I was going camping that following weekend).
Very happy with purchase.
Whenever I do research on a product or service, I check out what kind of negative comments are being said about that product or service. There wasn't a lot of negative comments about this product. I found most of the negatives to be very minor, and the one that was 'kind of' a consensus was that the instructions were difficult to follow. I'm not a smart person, and my reading comprehension is atrocious, but I took my time, and it was the easiest surf rack installation I've ever done.
Product exactly as described. Worked perfectly to attach rack to our Honda Fit.
Directions were clear and the clamps fit perfect with the Rhino Rack.
Fairly easy to install.
I’ve had zero issues with my rack. Fairly easy to install and have enjoyed having the extra space up top for whatever I want to haul.

Great!
This was a great purchase. I originally ordered roof crossbars from somewhere else and immediately returned them. They were a universal fit and were not secure at all when they were tightened down. They were from a third seller on Amazon. I found these on etrailer and I am glad that I made the purchase. I did not want to spend the money at first that these cost, but am glad that I did. The install was easy and the crossbars are very secure and hold up well with the cargo basket installed. They were well worth the money. Can't wait to try them out when we go camping. Thank you etrailer.
Ease of order, receipt, installation and excellent customer service is what I received in this order.
Thank you, e-trailer!
Pretty nice rack system. Held up to my 90lb canoe no problem. However a piece did fly off on the highway and the "locking" bar end cap can pull off super easy.
The directions were ok. There is some stuff you have to kind of figure out for yourself, mainly the roof trim. I plan to leave the rack on so I drilled theough the trim
Just followed all the etrailer website prompts for my naked roof Toyota Matrix and it set me up with the three packages needed- rails legs and fitkit. Installed easily enough. I like the little arrow stickers hidden in the door jams for fast re-install later. Held two 10’ kayaks on a 2 hr journey with ease.
This is a perfect fit for our 2015 Prius V with "naked" roof. Instructions were clear and accurate, and the bars are solid and able to support our canoe and kayak easily. We added the air deflector, as there was a bit of wind noise, but now there is none. Great product at much lower price than the big names.
Absolutely love the Rhino Rack. Easy to install (watch the [online] video). Looks GREAT. Hauls my kayaks no problem. Very well made and I highly recommend this product.
The Rhino 2500 series is well built. The etrailer customer service person Trevor W. was great. He was so helpful in getting the right components for my Rhino 2500 roof rack to mount to my 2010 Silverado. Thanks for the help Trevor.
