5th Wheel Towing With Utility Body Truck

Question:

I have a 1999 F350 4WD Superduty truck, my problem is it has a utility bed made by stahl, it is a Grand Challenger model. I would like to know if there is a solid and safe way to put a 5th wheel hitch on it.

I took a look at the Stahl Grand Challenger utility body, and because of the toolboxes, it wouldn't be compatible with 5th wheel or gooseneck towing. The front of the trailer wouldn't fit between the toolboxes.

I didn't see a flatbed model, but if that's what you have, Reese makes a 5th wheel hitch designed for a flatbed, part # RP30054. The hitch would install by bolting to the bed as well as a 1/2 inch thick steel plate that should be welded to brackets attached to the truck's frame. The install will require some fabrication.
