Inner Door Clearance Required Lippert Solidstep Torklift GlowStep Uprising MorRyde StepAbove

Question:

I am comparing three sets of replacement steps: Torklift TLA9104 Lippert LC791572 MorRyde MR48RR I have the same questions for each that I cant seem to find answers to and was hoping you could provide information: 1. What is the volume of space each requires when stowed in the doorway? 2. Stability comparisons which is most stable, which is less stable and how that compares to the fold down steps that seem to come standard on all rv trailers e.g., the standards dont touch the ground. Thanks Scott Kemp

The Lippert Solid Steps like part # LC791572 require 13 inches of inside clearance in the door. The MorRyde # MR48RR requires 8-9 inches according to MorRyde. And then the Torklift Glowstep Revolution # TLA9104 sits inward 12-1/2 inches. These are all dimensions I verified with the manufacturer.

The feedback that we've gotten on all three of these is that they are all very solid when in use. These are the top of the line RV steps so that would be expected. So from that point of view there isn't a clear cut winner. So based on that factor being equal and the MorRyde having the best clearance I'd say the MorRyde is your best option.
