Trailer Hitch for 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Limited
Question:
Is the tow hitch receiver for a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Limited no longer available? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
We do indeed offer Class III receiver hitches for the 2001 Mitsubishi Montero and Montero Sport (two distinctly different vehicles).
For the 2001 Montero, use the Curt Class # C13800 III hitch. If you'll be towing with the hitch you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # C55380 a ball mount like # C45010 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.
For the 2001 Montero Sport, you'd use the Curt Class III, part # 13223. For trailer wiring, use # 119178KIT and the same ball mount and trailer balls mentioned above.
The # 75774 hitch you'd looked at isn't a fit for either vehicle mentioned above.
