Installation Process for Wiring Harness C59496 on 2006 Cadillac SRX
Question:
It seems that there isnt a video to show how to install your part on the 2006 model. There is not one anywhere that I can find on the internet. I purchased the wiring kit you sell for it but it is so overly complicated to get to where the wiring is. I think myself along with everyone who has the same model SRX would agree that a video install would be perfect. Otherwise I dont know how I will get this installed short of paying a dealer an arm and a leg. Perhaps Bommarito would be generous enough to let you do this. Thanks you in advance!

We have not had the opportunity to produce an installation video for this particular wiring kit on your specific vehicle, the 2006 Cadillac SRX. But I did link a video showing a typical install on a GM vehicle that will give you a good idea of what the installation involves..
Although the install on your vehicle and what's shown in the video will be a little different (wire colors, for instance), the overall process will be the same and each of the various steps outlined in this video will be the same. Once you remove the taillight assemblies, just as you would to change a bad light bulb, you will have access to most of the wiring you will need to touch.
The basic steps are: 1) identifying the functions of the various wires at the left taillight using the circuit tester; 2) making the wiring connections to both taillight assemblies; and 3) running the module black power wire through or under the vehicle to the battery, where you connect it via a fuse holder to the battery.
