7 Way Trailer Wiring Harness And Mounting Bracket For 2020 GMC Sierra 2500

Question:

I am creating cornering lights, for my 2020 GMC 2500, in the same fashion some luxury cars like Cadillac, Mercedes, and others. When turn signal is activated, a small fog light illuminates the immediate ground around the front bumper and tire. I want to use the trailer wiring to trgger relays to power fog light, along with a time delay relay to keep a steady current that will be triggered by a pulsing turn signal. The harness 50-97-410 looks right. 9ft long, I can run it under the bed toward the cab. I want this to attach under the truck to the circuit Ive created that plugs into a 7pin. What kit should I get that has a bracket to hold the plug in place under the cab/bed. HM40975?. Is there a better suited wiring harness and bracket kit?

Instead of 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Plug - GM, Ford, Ram, Toyota - 9' Long # 50-97-410, I would use Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long # C56000. This one is a foot longer and features an easy disconnect harness that can then be used with 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End # HM40975. This bracket/adapter can be easily mounted anywhere you'd like and provides a 4 way flat and the 7 way connector. I think this is the best method for mounting your 7 way connector underneath your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Be sure not to route the wiring near parts that are hot or moving.
