We offer a complete brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7, that includes all components needed to install a 7-way connector on your vehicle, including connector, wiring and circuit breakers. This kit requires that your vehicle have a working 4-way flat connector installed already (such as the one that will be on the custom harness you are considering). I have included an installation video for the ETBC7 and also an FAQ article on wiring a brake controller.
We do offer hardwire options to provide a 4-way, such as the TowReady # 119178KIT. These kits are the hardwire type that require cutting and splicing of the vehicle wiring. I checked the Atlantic British website and they offer a direct plug-in type that does not require any cutting of wires; I think this may be the item you are considering. We do not offer that type of custom plug-in harness.
I have also included an FAQ article on trailer wiring that will be useful if you have concerns about how to complete the installation. This includes photos of the various connectors and the functions to be wired to each connector pin.
Please note that there are two kinds of round 7-way connectors, 7-way blade and 7-way round pin types. (See attached article for photos of both). I presumed your trailer is the flat-pin type since this is in much more common use. If your trailer uses a round-pin plug I suggest you replace this with a flat plug, such as Pollak part # PK12706.
Also, if you do not already have a brake controller to power your trailer brakes and need a recommendation for one, we often suggest the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885, as this is among the easiest to use.
