Can You Open Liftgate On 2015 GMC Yukon XL With Electric Trailer Jack Installed
Question:
I am looking for an electric tongue jack for my 2015 Gulfstream Innsbruck Travel Trailer. I have a 2015 GMC Yukon XL for towing. The jack head needs to be small enough so I can have clearance to lift the back liftgate. Do you have anything for that? Thanks

I have a few options for you, but currently there are no electric A-Frame trailer jacks made that are low profile enough for you to open the liftgate of your 2015 GMC Yukon XL with the trailer still attached. The only way to open your liftgate with an electric trailer jack like the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 24" Lift - 3,500 lbs - Black # JET-3755 installed is to unhook the trailer, and lower it or move forward before opening the liftgate. It may be possible to use an extended length ball mount like the Curt # C45270, or Brophy # BM20 to give you some extra clearance to open the liftgate.
The only trailer jack we offer that will allow you to open your liftgate is the Ultimate Trailer Jack - A-Frame - Topwind - 27-1/2" Lift - 2,000 lbs # 322-RDJ-2K which is a manual jack, but sits nearly flush to the trailer as you can see in the included video.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
