Can Blue Ox Tow Bar be Used With Roadmaster Base Plates on 1998 Jeep Cherokee

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Can I use my Blue Ox tow bar if I purchase the Road Master 1418-1 Base Plate Kit and RM-033 Tow Bar Adapter?

So long as your Blue Ox tow bar is one of the following - Acclaim, Adventurer, Aladdin, Alexxa, Allure, Alpha, Ambassador, Avail, Aventa, Aventa II, Aventa LX, or Kar Bar - you an absolutely use an adapter with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1418-1.
These base plates, which do fit your 1998 Jeep Cherokee, are the "XL" model base plates, so you will need both an adapter and quick disconnects for your Blue Ox tow bar:
- RoadMaster Base Plate to Blue Ox and Demco Tow Bars Adapter # RM-033
- Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit # RM-201
The combination of these three parts will allow you to use your Blue Ox tow bar on your Cherokee, saving you some money so you don't have to buy a brand new tow bar!
