Can RWB Little Rocker Be Used In 2021 Ford F-250 Or F-350 With OEM Prep Package

Question:

Im looking at buying a 2021 f250 or f350 and would like to get the 5th wheel prep. I would like to use my current RWB Little Rocker hitch 2012 ? year. The ford rails are Reese and appear to be square, mine are a hump shape. I like the Little Rocker because the head is easily removed from the legs and I can lift them out of the truck in two manageable pieces, My question is the Reese rails compatible or is there another option? Am I just better off to by a hitch that install directly into the truck

As long as your RWB Little Rocker 5th Wheel Hitch uses industry standard rails, you can absolutely use it in a 2021 F-250 or F350 with the OEM Prep Package as long as you use a rail adapter like the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C88KR which would give you the industry standard rails needed for the RWB Littler Rocker to mount to.

I will say that since replacement parts are no longer available for RWB hitches, I personally would purchase a hitch made for the OEM Prep Package as it will keep you from buying adapter rails, and you wont have to worry about the hitch needing parts and requiring you to purchase a new hitch anyways down the road.

For a new hitch I recommend the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Ford OEM Legs # C16520-16017 if the truck you decide on has an 8' bed, or 6-3/4' bed as long as your trailer has a rotating pin box, or # C16520-16020 that uses a slider if you decide on a truck with the 6-3/4' bed and your trailer does not have a rotating pin box.

The Curt A16 is a great choice due to its dual jaws that offer 360 degrees of king pin contact for a smooth and secure ride, and the fully articulating torsion head that self aligns when hitching, and suppresses road shock for a more pleasurable towing experience. Both of these hitches are made specifically for the Ford Prep Package, and will not require an adapter meaning it would be one less part you would have to deal with when you are done towing

I included videos for each of the products mentioned below for you to take a look at.
