Question:

Hi We have several trailers and I need to get locking devices for them. I was looking at your keyed alike ones and wondering what the best match might be? Are any keyed the same for a bumper pull and a goosneck? I need 3 bumper pull Dump trailer, enclosed trailer and horse trailer and one for a goosneck Living quarters horse trailer The more that can be keyed alike the better.

I have a solution for you, but there is not a set of coupler locks for a gooseneck trailer and traditional coupler that can be keyed the same. However, there are some options that can be keyed alike within their application so if you needed more traditional coupler locks in the future those could be keyed like the first one.

For the trailers you've got with traditional couplers I recommend using the Fastway Universal Trailer Coupler Lock for 1-7/8", 2" and 2-5/16" Couplers # FA86-0015-316, are keyed alike corresponding to their part number and will provide you with a durable and reliable lock for all of your trailers. These coupler locks are compatible with all different coupler sizes as long as the coupler width does not exceed 4-1/2" wide. This would be the solution I recommend for your dump trailer, enclosed trailer and small horse trailer and they can all be keyed the same. Just order as many as you need with the same part number and as many as you need with different keys using different part numbers. Watch the attached video to learn more.

For the gooseneck trailer, there are a few options available that will depend on the coupler, but none of these would be able to be keyed the same as your bumper pull trailers' locks. If you've got a RAM coupler on the trailer then the Blaylock # BLTL-55-40D is a great choice that provides you with a durable aluminum lock and body. These EZ locks are extremely reliable and a great choice to secure your gooseneck coupler.

These locks would allow you to keep all of your trailers secure and you'd only need 2 different keys. When You navigate to the product page, you do need to select the "Keyed Alike" option once you've selected the number of locks that you require.

I've also linked review videos on these locks that you can check out, as well as linking our entire selection of gooseneck coupler locks and traditional coupler locks in case you'd like to see what else might be available.
