Recommended Bike Rack To Carry 75lb Electric Bike With Step Thru Frame
Question:
I am looking for a single hitch-mount bike carrier for my RadRover Step Thru. I thought the Thule T1 would work but it has a maximum weight limit of 65lbs and mine weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 75 lbs not sure if that’s with or without the battery. It also has 4” fat tires. Do you sell something that woul safely carry my bike?

ISince your bike is pretty heavy at 75lbs and has 4" wide tires, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HLY84FR which is a two bike rack that can support two bikes weighing 75lbs each, with tires up to 5" wide. The up side of the rack is that it will allow you a spot to carry another bike if needed.
Since your bike has a step thru frame, you will need to use the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO to give the ratcheting frame hooks on the # HLY84FR a place to secure your bike.
